Grounding in and Dancing On

Grounding in and Dancing On

Happy Taurus New Moon to you all!

I’ve taken a bit of a hiatus from writing for the past few months but felt inspired to say HELLO considering the astrological aspects occurring right now. Today we shall talk about Taurus/ New Moon/Uranus stuff!

I don’t know about you, but I’ve been a serious hermit lately. I’ve felt a strong urge to be with myself, ground in, and really try to focus on self-care. I’ve been struggling with the concepts of who and what to trust as well as the concept of authentic power and my soul’s purpose.

Now that spring is in full swing, the gears have shifted. My body and mind have gone from hermit into overdrive of wanting to do, be, and accomplish as much as possible. What an overwhelming change of pace!

Good or bad, change is the only true constant in this life. To flow through this experience, one must find peace in the inevitable changes thrown our way. On and on it just won’t stop.

I’m enjoying this timely quote from Alan Watts right about now:

“The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.”

Through the ups and the downs, ins and outs, overs and unders – we must dance it out. Find beauty in life’s dance, in your dance, in the collective dance.

Side note: If I was texting this right now I would most certainly add the female dancing emoji.

Anywho, on a more literal level, dancing has been a wonderfully meditative practice and extraordinarily helpful and in acknowledging and opening my throat chakra.  When I dance, I hear my throat chakra calling to me. It says, “Yoo hoo! Speak your truth, communicate and listen effectively, and express yo bad-ass authentic self!”

Hey tangents! Ya’ll are probably like, stop yammering on- how does the Taurus New Moon and astrological aspects relate to this? Don’t worry, it does.

With that said , let’s get down to some Taurus business.

Today ( May 15th) is the Taurus New Moon. New moons are my most favorite time of the month – it is a time of beginnings and setting intentions. Think healing baths, bonfires, planting, and most importantly out with the old( or what no longer serves) and in with the new! Self-care and conscious intention setting galore!

Taurus is typically associated with stability, worth, abundance, beauty, and nature- it’s related to the planet Venus( hello, love!) as well as our Mama Earth. Relevant eh, considering it was just Mother’s Day! Not to mention, Taurus energy relates to the throat chakra!

Today’s energy and the upcoming energy is especially powerful. Not only is it a new moon in Taurus, BUT Uranus is shifting into Taurus. Holy macaroni!

Ya’ll it’s a big deal. Uranus has been in Aries since 2011. Uranus is the planet of awakenings, insights, disruptive change- it’s ultimately an amazing but unstable powerhouse.  Think back to life in 2011- how has your life changed? For me, it’s been rather dramatic!

So get ready to shake, rattle, and roll your values, your preconceived ideas of what it means to be worthy, our current structures, and more.

Where does your life need a change? What’s your relationship with money and material items all about? Are your centered and connected? Are you caring for the Earth? Are you expressing your authentic self? Are you aligned with your soul’s purpose?

My thoughts are that since Uranus will be in Taurus for the next 7 years, there will be quite a substantial shift in our experience on Earth and how we care for our Mama and our fellow beings – think sustainability, local farming, human rights changes, and more. Not to mention possible changes in financial institutions and the powers that be.

Exciting, eh?

Use this powerful manifestation time and Taurus energy to really delve into what the future holds for you. Where do you see yourself, your community, your world? What are you looking to bring forth in your life? How can you connect more deeply with nature? How can you cultivate abundance? How can you align yourself more fully with your true purpose and higher self? How can you be your most fabulous YOU?

GROUND DOWN YA’LL because the times they are a-changing! Put your feet in the grass. Connect with nature. REMEMBER, you hold the power to paint your very own masterpiece, to orchestrate your symphony, to choreograph your dance.

Take a deep breath, love yourself, and love the world.

Go forth and ground in my sweet beings.

Flow, flow, flow, and go get it, yo!
